"Labor Omnia Vincit" Buffalo Oil Painting, 30x24 inches

$1,400.00

The state motto of Oklahoma is “Labor Omnia Vincit” which means: “Work conquers all” or perhaps a better translation "anything can be achieved if steady work is applied”. When the world turned upside down a year ago my creative business goals were as well. One cancelled event after another left me uncertain, so I did what I knew to do. I kept painting. Over the course of the year, gratitude swelled for the places I’ve called home. Hope, steadiness and perseverance allowed the pioneers of Kansas and Oklahoma to “tame the West” and likewise has been the motivation for many navigating through these uncertain times. Both states chose the buffalo for their state animal and I think these magnificent creatures reflect well the idea of diligent perseverance in each state’s motto.

An original oil painting, 30x24 inches, on gallery-wrapped canvas. The sides are painted to coordinate and enhance the painting.

This painting is unframed. If you would like my studio to help coordinate framing, we are happy to do that! Email sharon@sharonsudduthart.com.

The oil painting on canvas is built layer by layer until what you now see emerges — vibrant and complex. This piece is absolutely stunning and radiates strength and steadfastness.

It was created as a part of the “Celebrating Home” Collection. Learn more about this collection and the inspiration behind it HERE.

To purchase just add to cart. Any applicable taxes and shipping will be added at check out. Additional shipping costs or credits will be billed or refunded based on package size, weight, and shipping location. To pick up the artwork in my studio, enter “in studio pick up” at check out.

Most of all, thank you for supporting my work. Creating paintings and sending them to live in the homes and spaces of collectors is one of my greatest joys.

Truly, Sharon

When my sweet friend and neighbor, @mom2pilotnurse brought me a bouquet of peonies today, I couldn’t resist the urge to paint them! They made my studio smell heavenly! On a side note, I might have also taken a little peony photoshoot, rearrang
Sometimes it is fun to just play. Last Saturday I had some leftover paint, so I whipped up some citrus minis. Where would you display one of these 4x4 originals? I think they’ll look sharp in white floater frames.
