The "Amazing Zinnia" Collection

The zinnia definitely vies for the top spot as “summer’s favorite flower”. After painting the “Blooming Big” floral collection earlier this year, I took pieces to display at a local flower shop, Enid Floral. While speaking with the owner, he asked if I had painted any zinnias and then gave me one from the cooler to take home as a muse! After painting it, I kept seeing zinnias…at a friend’s house after bible study, on my evening walk’s through the neighborhood, at the Wichita Botanical Garden and I even had a self-seeded plant grow up in my flower bed. I captured so many of these lovely flowers with my camera and had such a fun time recreating them in oil on canvas. Check out the collection below and click on the photos to shop the collection.
