As many of you know, I love all things gardens, so it was only natural that at some point I would paint garden critters. Many of the reference photos used in this series were taken at Botanica in Wichita. The butterfly house there made it easy to observe and photograph these delicate insects flitting from flower to flower. The bumblebee was in my backyard.
“Frolicking” is an original 16” diameter oil painting is on canvas. It features a monarch butterfly on a lilac bush.
This piece is signed on the front and the .75" sides are painted to match the painting. The painting is wired and ready to hang or be framed. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
