"Succulent Starfruit" Fancy Fruit Collection - 10"x10" (framed)
Succulent Starfruit is one of the six paintings in my Fancy Fruit collection. Each 10"x10" oil painting features colorful and richly patterned backgrounds and dishes with a variety of fruit.
I was looking for a piece of exotic fruit to paint and found these starfruit at Sprouts. What could be more exotic than a fruit that looks like a star when sliced! A single apricot also made its way onto the plate. Pieces from my own collection of flea market inspired Pioneer Woman dishes, vintage glass and colorful patterned aprons and tea towels were used along with the fruit to set up a still life for each painting.
