As a girl growing up on a farm in south central Kansas, the gravel road to our home was lined on both sides by wild native sunflowers cheering us along. Maybe this was the place where my optimistic outlook on life sprouted? “Sunflowers Fringe the Way” explores the striking flower in both its shape and color and embraces the symbolism of hardiness, standing tall and being light.

An original oil painting, 24x24 inches, on gallery-wrapped canvas. The sides are painted to coordinate and enhance the painting. This painting is framed in a modern white floater frame.
